Commencement Proclamation

under the

Casino Control Amendment Act 2018 No 8

I, General The Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Ret’d), Governor of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Casino Control

Amendment Act 2018, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 21 December 2018 as the day on
which Schedule 1 [1], [13], [16]–[19], [24], [25], [29], [34], [40], [43], [44], [49] and [52]–[55] to

that Act commence.

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence certain provisions of the Casino Control Amendment Act

2018 that amend the Casino Control Act 1992 with respect to casino operations (including in relation to

casino licence conditions, complimentary chip purchase vouchers, casino precincts, wagering by minors
and excluded persons, and unclaimed winnings) and casino accounting and internal controls.
