under the

Victims Rights and Support Amendment (Statutory Review) Act 2018 No 34

I, General The Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Ret’d), Governor of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Victims Rights and

Support Amendment (Statutory Review) Act 2018, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint

1 December 2018 as the day on which Schedule 1 [16] to that Act commences.

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence an amendment to the Victims Rights and Support Act 2013 that authorises the registrar of a court that has given a direction for compensation to provide the offender’s name and address to the victim.
