Commencement Proclamation

under the

State Debt Recovery Act 2018 No 11

DAVID HURLEY, Governor

I, General The Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Ret’d), Governor of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the State Debt Recovery Act

2018, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 27 August 2018 as the day on which that Act

commences except for the following provisions:

(a)	Schedule 3.3,
(b)	Schedule 3.12 [1], [3]–[5] and [7],
(c)	Schedule 3.13 [1], [3]–[5] and [7],
(d)	Schedule 3.14 [5].

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence the State Debt Recovery Act 2018 other than consequential amendments to:

(a)	the First Home Owner Grant (New Homes) Act 2000 and the Small Business Grants (Employment Incentive) Act 2015 relating to the repayment and recovery of grant debts and objections to certain decisions of the Chief Commissioner, and
(b)	the Payroll Tax Rebate Scheme (Jobs Action Plan) Act 2011 relating to the use of rebates to offset certain liabilities, the repayment and recovery of rebate debts and objections to certain decisions of the Chief Commissioner, and
(c)	the Taxation Administration Act 1996 relating to the payment and recovery of tax debts.
