Commencement Proclamation

under the

Water Management Amendment Act 2018 No 31

I, General The Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Ret’d), Governor of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Water Management Amendment Act 2018, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 9 August 2018 as the day on which Schedule 1 [60] to that Act commences.

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence an amendment that enables the Minister for Regional Water

to temporarily prohibit or restrict the taking of water if satisfied that it is necessary to do so to manage water
for environmental purposes.
