under the

Child Protection (Working with Children) Amendment (Statutory Review)

Act 2018 No 14

DAVID HURLEY, Governor

I, General The Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Ret’d), Governor of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Child Protection

(Working with Children) Amendment (Statutory Review) Act 2018, do, by this my Proclamation,
appoint 1 June 2018 as the day on which that Act, except Schedule 1 [25], insofar as it inserts

section 36B (3) (d) in the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012, commences.

Explanatory note
The object of this Proclamation is to commence the Child Protection (Working with Children) Amendment
(Statutory Review) Act 2018, except a provision of that Act that would require a person who holds or has
applied for a working with children check clearance to notify the Children’s Guardian of a change in the
person’s employer or proposed employer.
