Commencement Proclamation

under the

Workers Compensation Amendment Act 2015 No 18

DAVID HURLEY, Governor

I, General The Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Ret’d), Governor of New South Wales, with
the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 (1) of the Workers
Compensation Amendment Act 2015, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 16 December 2016 as
the day on which Schedule 2 [14] to that Act, to the extent that it inserts section 44BF of the

Workers Compensation Act 1987, commences.

Explanatory note
The object of this Proclamation is to commence section 44BF of the Workers Compensation Act 1987,
which:
(a) provides that a legal practitioner is not entitled to legal costs in connection with a review in certain circumstances, and
(b) allows the regulations to make provision for costs orders in certain circumstances in relation to a review.
