Commencement Proclamation

under the

Drug Misuse and Trafficking Amendment (Drug Exhibits) Act 2016 No 6

DAVID HURLEY, Governor

I, General The Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Ret’d), Governor of New South Wales, with
the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Drug Misuse and
Trafficking Amendment (Drug Exhibits) Act 2016, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 January

2017 as the day on which that Act (other than Schedule 1 [7] and [8]) commences.

Explanatory note
The object of this Proclamation is to commence all of the Drug Misuse and Trafficking Amendment (Drug
Exhibits) Act 2016, other than amendments changing the official who may appoint a person to give certificates of the results of an analysis of a plant.
