Commencement Proclamation

under the

Water Management Amendment Act 2014 No 48

DAVID HURLEY, Governor

I, General The Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Ret’d), Governor of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 (1) of the Water Management Amendment Act 2014, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 24 October 2016 as the day on which the following provisions of that Act commence:

(a)	Schedule 1.9,
(b)	Schedule 1.10 [6], [7], [15]–[19], [22] and [23],
(c)	Schedule 3.1.

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence certain provisions of the Water Management Amendment Act 2014 that amend the Water Management Act 2000 (and, consequentially, the Water Management Amendment Act 2008) in relation to the following matters:

(a)	nominated water supply works and water tagging zones,
(b)	the surrender of access licences,
(c)	the amendment and surrender of approvals.
