Commencement Proclamation

under the

Government Sector Employment Legislation Amendment Act 2016 No 2

DAVID HURLEY, Governor

I, General The Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Ret’d), Governor of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 (2) of the Government Sector Employment Legislation Amendment Act 2016, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 July 2016 as the day on which the following provisions of that Act commence:

(a)	Schedule 1 [1], [2], [4]–[9], [11], [14], [17], [18], [20]–[51], [53]–[57], [59], [61]–[74], [76] and [77],
(b)	Schedules 5.1, 5.2 and 5.3,
(c)	Schedule 5.4 [4]–[9].

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence most of the amendments made by the Government Sector Employment Legislation Amendment Act 2016 other than those that align the employment arrangements for senior executives in the NSW Health Service, the NSW Police Force and the Transport Service of NSW with the new employment arrangements for Public Service senior executives under the Government Sector Employment Act 2013.
