Commencement Proclamation

under the

Health Legislation Amendment Act 2015 No 38

DAVID HURLEY, Governor

I, General The Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Ret’d), Governor of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 (2) of the Health Legislation Amendment Act 2015, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 February 2016 as the day on which the uncommenced provisions of that Act commence.

Explanatory note
The object of this Proclamation is to commence the uncommenced provisions of the Health Legislation
Amendment Act 2015. These provisions amend:
(a) the Public Health Act 2010 in relation to the installation, operation and maintenance of regulated systems for the control of legionella, and
(b) the Public Health (Tobacco) Act 2008 in relation to tobacco packaging and obtaining or selling tobacco products by wholesale.
