| Explanatory note |
| The object of this Proclamation is to commence most of the amendments made by the Mining and Petroleum Legislation Amendment (Grant of Coal and Petroleum Prospecting Titles) Act 2015. The only amendment that will remain uncommenced is an amendment to the Mining Act 1992 that provides that land that forms part of a controlled release area cannot be constituted as, or added to, an opal prospecting area. |
