Commencement Proclamation

under the

Health Practitioner Regulation Legislation Amendment Act 2014 No 84

I, General The Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Ret’d), Governor of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 (1) of the Health Practitioner Regulation Legislation Amendment Act 2014, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 November 2015 as the day on which the uncommenced provisions of that Act commence.

Explanatory note
The object of this Proclamation is to commence the uncommenced provisions of the Health Practitioner
Regulation Legislation Amendment Act 2014. Those provisions amend the following Acts:
(a) the Health Practitioner Regulation (Adoption of National Law) Act 2009, including in relation to critical impairment conditions and notification requirements for Councils for health professionals,
(b) the Health Services Act 1997 and the Private Health Facilities Act 2007, in relation to the sharing of information between public health organisations and licensees of private health facilities.
