Commencement Proclamation

under the

State Insurance and Care Governance Act 2015

DAVID HURLEY, Governor

I, General The Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Ret’d), Governor of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the State Insurance and Care Governance Act 2015, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 September 2015 as the day on which that Act (other than the following provisions) commences:

(a)	Schedule 5 [2] to the extent that it inserts the definition of Workers Compensation Market Practice and Premiums Guidelines,
(b)	Schedule 5 [4] and [5], [7]–[9], [22]–[24], [26]–[31], [37] and [42],
(c)	Schedule 6 [28], [32], [38] and [39],
(d)	Schedule 15.9 [1], [3] and [4].

Explanatory note

This Proclamation commences the State Insurance and Care Governance Act 2015 on 1 September 2015 with the exception of certain amendments (in particular, the amendments to the workers compensation legislation that replace the existing scheme for setting insurance premiums by way of insurance premiums orders with Workers Compensation Market Practice and Premiums Guidelines issued by the State Insurance Regulatory Authority).
