Commencement Proclamation

under the

Aboriginal Land Rights Amendment Act 2014 No 75

I, General The Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Ret’d), Governor of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Aboriginal Land Rights Amendment Act 2014, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 July 2015 as the day on which that Act commences (except for Schedule 1 [92]–[94], [97]–[99], [103], [108]–[112], [116], [117], [119]–[122] and [124]).

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence the Aboriginal Land Rights Amendment Act 2014 except for certain amendments relating to the appointment of investigators and administrators for Aboriginal Land Councils.
