Commencement Proclamation

under the

Legal Profession Uniform Law Application Act 2014 No 16

I, General The Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Ret’d), Governor of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Legal Profession Uniform Law Application Act 2014, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 July 2015 as the day on which the uncommenced provisions of that Act and of the Legal Profession Uniform Law (NSW) commence.

Explanatory note

This Proclamation commences the remaining uncommenced provisions of the Legal Profession Uniform Law Application Act 2014 and of the Legal Profession Uniform Law (NSW) given effect to by that Act. Some preliminary provisions of the Legal Profession Uniform Law Application Act 2014 commenced on 1 July 2014 to enable the commencement of provisions of the Legal Profession Uniform Law (NSW) relating to interpretation and uniform regulatory authorities and arrangements.
