Commencement Proclamation
under the
Courts Legislation Amendment (Broadcasting Judgments) Act 2014 No 44
DAVID HURLEY, Governor
I, General The Honourable David Hurley AC DSC, Governor of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Courts Legislation Amendment (Broadcasting Judgments) Act 2014, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 2 February 2015 as the day on which the uncommenced provisions of that Act commence.

| Explanatory note |
| The object of this Proclamation is to commence the uncommenced provisions of the Courts Legislation Amendment (Broadcasting Judgments) Act 2014. These provisions amend the District Court Act 1973 to require the District Court to permit the recording and broadcast of certain judgments given by the Court in open court unless satisfied that one of a limited number of exclusionary grounds is present. |
