under the

Courts Legislation Amendment (Broadcasting Judgments) Act 2014 No 44

I, General The Honourable David Hurley AC DSC, Governor of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Courts Legislation Amendment (Broadcasting Judgments) Act 2014, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 27 October 2014 as the day on which Schedule 2 to that Act commences.

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence amendments to the Supreme Court Act 1970 that provide for a presumption in favour of permitting the recording and broadcast of judgment remarks in the Supreme Court.
