Commencement Proclamation

under the

Co-operatives (Adoption of National Law) Act 2012 No 29

MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor The Honourable Marie Bashir AC, CVO, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Co-operatives (Adoption of National Law) Act 2012, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 3 March 2014 as the day on which that Act commences.

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence the Co-operatives (Adoption of National Law) Act 2012. That Act relates to the formation, registration and management of co-operatives, and operates as part of a scheme of legislation agreed to by other States and Territories for this purpose.
