Commencement Proclamation

under the

Heavy Vehicle (Adoption of National Law) Act 2013 No 42

MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor The Honourable Marie Bashir AC, CVO, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 (1) of the Heavy Vehicle (Adoption of National Law) Act 2013, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 10 February 2014 as the day on which that Act (other than section 25A) commences.

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence the provisions of the Heavy Vehicle (Adoption of National Law) Act 2013 (other than section 25A), including the provisions that give force to the Heavy Vehicle National Law (NSW). Section 25A, when it commences, will authorise the payment of certain amounts into the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator Fund until Chapter 2 of the Law comes into force.
