Commencement Proclamation

under the

Water Management Amendment Act 2010 No 133

THOMAS FREDERICK BATHURST, Lieutenant-Governor I, the Honourable Thomas Frederick Bathurst, Lieutenant-Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Water Management Amendment Act 2010, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 March 2013 as the day on which Schedule 2 [16] to that Act commences.

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence a provision of the Water Management Amendment Act 2010 that amends the Water Management Act 2000 to clarify that water is, for the purposes of that Act, taken from a water source if it is taken in certain circumstances in connection with a mining activity.
