Commencement Proclamation

under the

Children (Education and Care Services National Law Application)
Act 2010 No 104

MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, CVO, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Children (Education and Care Services National Law Application) Act 2010, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 May 2013 as the day on which section 4 of that Act commences, to the extent that it applies the following provisions of the Education and Care Services National Law as a law of this jurisdiction:

(a)	section 70 (d),
(b)	section 152,
(c)	section 153 (2)–(4),
(d)	sections 154–160,
(e)	section 172 (d),
(f)	sections 266–268,
(g)	section 270 (1) (d),
(h)	section 270 (2)–(4).

Commencement Proclamation Explanatory note
Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence section 4 of the Children (Education and Care Services National Law Application) Act 2010 to the extent that it applies, as a law of New South Wales, the provisions of the Education and Care Services National Law relating to rating levels for approved education and care services and the keeping of registers by the National Authority and the Regulatory Authority. The effect of the Proclamation is that all of the provisions of the Education and Care Services National Law will apply as a law of New South Wales.
