Commencement Proclamation

under the

Courts and Other Legislation Amendment Act 2012 No 60

MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, CVO, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 (3) of the Courts and Other Legislation Amendment Act 2012, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 28 October 2012 as the day on which Schedule 10 [2] and [3] to that Act commence. Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence, on 28 October 2012, amendments to the Land and Environment Court Act 1979 that allow a person, with the leave of the Land and Environment Court, to appear by an agent in class 8 of that Court’s jurisdiction and require the Court to consider certain matters before granting leave to appear by an agent.
