Commencement Proclamation

under the

Road Transport Legislation Amendment Act 2008 No 61

MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, CVO, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Road Transport Legislation Amendment Act 2008, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 March 2012 as the day on which the uncommenced provisions of that Act commence.

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence an amendment to the Roads Act 1993 that extends from 6 months to 12 months the time within which proceedings may be brought for an alleged offence of failure or refusal to pay a toll or charge.
