Commencement Proclamation

under the

Protection of the Environment Legislation Amendment Act 2011
No 63

MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, CVO, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Protection of the Environment Legislation Amendment Act 2011, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 29 February 2012 as the day on which the uncommenced provisions of that Act (other than Schedule 2 [1], [20], [21] and [23]) commence.

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence the uncommenced provisions of the Protection of the Environment Legislation Amendment Act 2011 (which include the long title and other ancillary provisions as well as an amendment requiring the preparation and implementation of pollution incident response management plans). The amendments made by Schedule 2 [1], [20], [21] and [23] will commence on 31 March 2012.
