Commencement Proclamation

under the

Clubs, Liquor and Gaming Machines Legislation Amendment Act
2011 No 72

MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, CVO, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 (1) of the Clubs, Liquor and Gaming Machines Legislation Amendment Act 2011, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 20 January 2012 as the day on which the following provisions of that Act commence:

(a)

Schedule 1 [17] (but only to the extent that it inserts sections 17AJ, 17AM and 17AO in the Registered Clubs Act 1976) and [38],

(b) Schedule 2 [13], [19] and [20],

(c)

Schedule 3 [31] (but only to the extent that it inserts section 21 (3) in the Gaming Machines Act 2001) and [53].

(d) Schedule 4 [14].

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence certain amendments to the Registered Clubs Act 1976, the Liquor Act 2007 and the Gaming Machines Act 2001 that relate to club de-amalgamations and to reviews by the Casino, Liquor and Gaming Control Authority of certain decisions under the gaming and liquor legislation.
