Commencement Proclamation

under the

Public Health Act 2010 No 127

MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, CVO, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Public Health Act 2010, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint:

(a)	1 September 2012 as the day on which that Act commences, except as provided by paragraphs (b) and (c), and
(b)	1 March 2013 as the day on which section 35 of that Act commences, and
(c)	1 September 2014 as the day on which section 25 (1) and (3) of that Act commence.

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence the Public Health Act 2010 on 1 September 2012. The provisions relating to operating requirements for public swimming pools and spa pools and to the requirement for drinking water suppliers to have quality assurance programs will commence on 1 March 2013 and 1 September 2014 respectively.
