Commencement Proclamation

under the

Business Names (Commonwealth Powers) Act 2011 No 44

MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, CVO, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Business Names (Commonwealth Powers) Act 2011, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 28 May 2012 as the day on which Schedules 2 and 3 to that Act commence.

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence provisions of the Business Names (Commonwealth Powers) Act 2011 that provide for the repeal and consequential amendment of certain legislation on the commencement of the registration provisions of the Business Names Registration Act 2011 of the Commonwealth on 28 May 2012.
