Commencement Proclamation

under the

Identification Legislation Amendment Act 2011 No 45

MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, CVO, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Identification Legislation Amendment Act 2011, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 30 April 2012 as the day on which Schedule 2.6 to that Act commences.

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence a provision of the Identification Legislation Amendment Act 2011 that amends the Oaths Act 1900 to provide for identification procedures to be followed by persons taking or receiving statutory declarations or affidavits.
