Commencement Proclamation

under the

Home Building Amendment Act 2011 No 52

MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, CVO, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 (2) of the Home Building Amendment Act 2011, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 February 2012 as the day on which the uncommenced provisions of that Act commence.

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence the remaining uncommenced provisions of the Home Building Amendment Act 2011. Those provisions amend the Home Building Act 1989 and the Home Building Regulation 2004 in relation to requirements for home building contracts and home warranty insurance.
