Commencement Proclamation

under the

Public Interest Disclosures Amendment Act 2011 No 37

MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, CVO, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 (1) of the Public Interest Disclosures Amendment Act 2011, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 November 2011 as the day on which that Act (other than Schedule 1 [5]) commences.

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence all the provisions of the Public Interest Disclosures Amendment Act 2011 other than a provision relating to the giving of reports by public authorities to the Ombudsman which will commence on 1 January 2012.
