Commencement Proclamation

under the

Superannuation Legislation Amendment (Family Law) Act 2003
No 77

MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, CVO, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 (2) of the Superannuation Legislation Amendment (Family Law) Act 2003, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 3 March 2011 as the day on which Schedule 5 to that Act commences.

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence amendments to the Parliamentary Contributory Superannuation Act 1971 to provide for the splitting and payment of superannuation entitlements under the Parliamentary Contributory Superannuation Scheme in accordance with decisions or agreements under the Family Law Act 1975 of the Commonwealth.
