Commencement Proclamation

under the

Courts and Crimes Legislation Further Amendment Act 2010
No 135

MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, CVO, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 (2) (b) of the Courts and Crimes Legislation Further Amendment Act 2010, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 April 2011 as the day on which Schedule 6.2 to that Act commences.

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence amendments to the Civil Procedure Act 2005 made by the Courts and Crimes Legislation Further Amendment Act 2010 that facilitate the taking of pre-litigation steps in certain civil disputes to resolve or narrow the issues in dispute before the commencement of certain court proceedings.
