Commencement Proclamation

under the

Occupational Licensing (Adoption of National Law) Act 2010
No 100

MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, CVO, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Occupational Licensing (Adoption of National Law) Act 2010, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 January 2011 as the day on which the following provisions of that Act commence:

(a) Part 1,

(b)

section 4, except to the extent that it applies the following provisions of the Occupational Licensing National Law as a law of this jurisdiction:

(i) Parts 2–5,
(ii) section 99 (3) (g)–(i),
(iii) Divisions 1 and 3 of Part 8,
(iv) section 137,
(v) Divisions 2 and 5 of Part 9,
(vi) section 150,
(vii) section 153,
(c) section 5, except section 5 (b), (d), (e) and (h),
(d) section 8,
(e) Part 3.

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence certain provisions of the Occupational Licensing (Adoption of National Law) Act 2010 so that parts of the Occupational Licensing National Law (as set out in the Schedule to the Occupational Licensing National Law Act 2010 of Victoria) apply as a law of this jurisdiction. The provisions commenced confer functions on the Ministerial Council and establish the National Occupational Licensing Authority.
