Commencement Proclamation

under the

Food Amendment (Food Safety Supervisors) Act 2009 No 85

MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, CVO, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Food Amendment (Food Safety Supervisors) Act 2009, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 October 2010 as the day on which Schedule 1 [4] to that Act (to the extent that it inserts sections 106C–106G into the Food Act 2003) commences.

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence an amendment made by the Food Amendment (Food Safety Supervisors) Act 2009 to the Food Act 2003 which inserts offences relating to the requirement for certain food businesses to appoint a food safety supervisor.
