Commencement Proclamation
under the
Health Legislation Amendment Act 2010 No 52
MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, CVO, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Health Legislation Amendment Act 2010, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 30 July 2010 as the day on which Schedules 1, 3.1 and 3.5 to that Act commence.

Health which a person engaged in tobacco retailing must notify the Director-General of the Department of Health of becoming aware of certain changes affecting the person’s tobacco retailing business.
The object of this Proclamation is to commence Schedules 1, 3.1 and 3.5 to the
Legislation Amendment Act 2010.
Schedule 1 amends the Health Services Act 1997 to provide for a new offence in relation to
the obstruction of, and violence against, ambulance officers.
Schedule 3.1 amends the Assisted Reproductive Technology Act 2007 to enable the
Director-General of the Department of Health to direct assisted reproductive technology
providers to provide certain information that is to be recorded in the central ART donor
register established under that Act.
