Commencement Proclamation

under the

Courts and Crimes Legislation Further Amendment Act 2008
No 107

MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, CVO, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 (2) of the Courts and Crimes Legislation Further Amendment Act 2008, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 21 June 2010 as the day on which Schedules 16 and 17 to that Act commence.

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence the provisions of the Courts and Crimes Legislation Further Amendment Act 2008 that relate to the conduct of mental health inquiries by the Mental Health Review Tribunal and the qualifications for appointment of a “legal” member of that Tribunal.
