Commencement Proclamation

under the

Heritage Amendment Act 2009 No 34

MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, CVO, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Heritage Amendment Act 2009, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 29 January 2010 as the day on which the uncommenced provisions of that Act commence.

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence an amendment to the Heritage Act 1977 that enables regulations to be made prescribing the classes of items of the environmental heritage that a government instrumentality is required to enter in its Heritage and Conservation Register.
