Commencement Proclamation

under the

Tow Truck Industry Amendment Act 2008 No 83

MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, CVO, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Tow Truck Industry Amendment Act 2008, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 18 December 2009 as the day on which the uncommenced provisions of that Act commence.

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence certain amendments to the Tow Truck Industry Act 1998 about the charging of fees for the towing, salvage and storage of motor vehicles and about the duration of licences and driver certificates under the Act.
