Commencement Proclamation

under the

Heritage Amendment Act 2009 No 34

MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, CVO, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 (1) of the Heritage Amendment Act 2009, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 16 October 2009 as the day on which the uncommenced provisions of that Act (except Schedule 1 [38]) commence.

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence amendments to the Heritage Act 1977 relating to the objects of that Act, the Heritage Council, the State Heritage Register, conservation management plans for heritage items, stop work orders, proposed heritage items and other matters.
