Commencement Proclamation

under the

Criminal Organisations Legislation Amendment Act 2009 No 23

MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, CVO, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Criminal Organisations Legislation Amendment Act 2009, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 7 August 2009 as the day on which Schedule 2 to that Act commences.

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence the provisions of the Criminal Organisations Legislation Amendment Act 2009 that enable a Supreme Court judge to issue a criminal organisation search warrant.
