Commencement Proclamation

under the

Assisted Reproductive Technology Act 2007 No 69

MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, CVO, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Assisted Reproductive Technology Act 2007, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint:

(a)	1 January 2010 as the day on which that Act commences other than section 6 (1), and
(b)	1 March 2010 as the day on which section 6 (1) commences.

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence all the provisions of the Assisted Reproductive Technology Act 2007 on 1 January 2010 other than a provision that requires ART providers to be registered. That provision commences on 1 March 2010.
