Commencement Proclamation

under the

Water Management Amendment Act 2008 No 73

MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, CVO, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Water Management Amendment Act 2008, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 July 2009 as the day on which the provisions of Schedule 4 [1]–[3], [8] and [9] to that Act commence.

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence those provisions of the Water Management Amendment Act 2008 that amend the Water Management Act 2000 in relation to domestic and stock rights (section 52), available water determinations (section 59), conditions of access licences (section 66), conditions of approvals (section 100) and conditions of irrigation corporations’ operating licences (section 123).
