Commencement Proclamation

under the

Children Legislation Amendment (Wood Inquiry
Recommendations) Act 2009 No 13

MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, CVO, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Children Legislation Amendment (Wood Inquiry Recommendations) Act 2009, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 July 2009 as the day on which Schedule 3.2 [2]–[5] to that Act commence.

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence certain amendments to the Community Services (Complaints, Reviews and Monitoring) Act 1993 relating to reviews by the Ombudsman of child deaths.
