Commencement Proclamation

under the

Tow Truck Industry Amendment Act 2008 No 83

MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, CVO, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Tow Truck Industry Amendment Act 2008, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 27 April 2009 as the day on which that Act (other than Schedule 1 [7], [8], [10], [11], [14] and [15] to that Act) commences.

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence most of the amendments made by the Tow Truck Industry Amendment Act 2008. The amendments that are not being commenced relate to the term for which licences and drivers certificates may be issued and to the regulation of the charges and fees payable for towing, salvage, storage and related services.
