Commencement Proclamation

under the

Road Transport Legislation Amendment (Car Hoons) Act 2008
No 4

MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, CVO, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Road Transport Legislation Amendment (Car Hoons) Act 2008, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 26 September 2008 as the day on which the uncommenced provisions of that Act commence.

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence the uncommenced provisions of the Road Transport Legislation (Car Hoons) Act 2008. The provisions commenced include provisions relating to wheel clamping of vehicles involved in street racing offences and aggravated burn out offences.
