Proclamation

under the

Building Professionals Act 2005 No 115

MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, CVO, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Building Professionals Act 2005, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint:

(a)	1 March 2007 as the day on which the uncommenced provisions of that Act commence, except as provided by paragraph (b), and
(b)	25 January 2007 as the day on which Part 1, Division 1 of Part 2 and Part 7 (except section 77) and sections 83, 89, 94 and 95 of, and Schedule 1, Part 1 and clause 6 of Schedule 2 and Schedule 3.6 to, that Act commence.

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence the following provisions of the Building

Professionals Act 2005 on 25 January 2007:

(a)	provisions that constitute the Building Professionals Board and certain related provisions,

(b)	provisions that enable the Minister to publish an accreditation scheme.

This Proclamation provides for the remainder of the uncommenced provisions of that Act to commence on 1 March 2007.
