(Prohibited Venues) Regulation 2011

Combat Sports Act 2008

Her Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Combat Sports Act 2008.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to suspend, until 31 March 2012, the prohibition on promoting, or engaging in, a professional combat sport contest at premises licensed under the Liquor Act 2007.
This Regulation is made under the Combat Sports Act 2008, including sections 52 (1) (b) and

(2) (b) and 73 (the general regulation-making power).

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Combat Sports Amendment (Prohibited Venues)
Regulation 2011.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the
NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Combat Sports Regulation 2009

Clause 49 Prohibited venues

Insert “, but only on and from 31 March 2012” after “prescribed” in clause 49 (1).
