| 1. This Act may be cited as The Colonial Prisoners Removal Act, | Short title |
1894.'
2. In this Act the word prisoner' shall mean and include any person lawfully confined or detained within any gaol. The word gaol' shall mean and include prison, lock-up, reformatory, industrial school, or other lawful place of confinement.
3. From and after the passing of this Act it shall be lawful for the Governor, from time to time, to order and direct that any prisoner who now is or at any time hereafter may be confined or detained within any gaol shall be removed from any such gaol to any other gaol, as occasion may require ; and thereupon it shall be lawful for the Sheriff to cause such prisoner to be taken and removed from any such gaol to any such other gaol as shall be mentioned in such order ; and such prisoner so removed to such other gaol shall, subject to this Act, there be imprisoned for and undergo in all respects the then unexpired residue of his sentence.
