AN ACT to authorise the Construction of a Railway from the South-Western Railway to the Collie Coalfields.

[Assented to, 15th October, 16'95.]

11, it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Pre' "''''o.

Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parlia- ment assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1.     THIS Act may be cited as " The Collie Coalfields Railway short Title.

2. IT shall be lawful to construct a Railway from the South- I . nthority to con-

line described in the Schedule to this Act.

3. N OTWITHSTANDING anything contained ni " The Rail--

Devi i° ways Act, 1818," it shall be lawful for the Commissioner of Railways to deviate from the line, as described in such Schedule, to the extent of five miles on either side thereof.

COLLIE COALFIELDS RAILWAY.

DESCRIPTION OF LINE OF RAILWAY.

Commencing at or near a point on the South-Western Railway 98 miles, or thereabouts, from its commencing point at East Perth, on the Eastern Railway, and proceeding thence in a generally North-East by Easterly direction for about 4 miles ; thence in a generally South-Easterly direction for about 6 miles ; thence in a generally Southerly direction for about 34 miles ; thence in a generally North- East by Easterly direction for about 34 miles ; thence in a generally South- East by Easterly direction for about 9 miles, and terminating at a point in the Government Reserve for Coal, No. 2948, as more particularly delineated by a red line on map marked P.W.D., W.A., 3933, deposited at the Office of the Commissioner of Railways at Perth. Total length about 26 miles.
