COCOS (KEELING) ISLANDS AIRPORT FACILITIES

DETERMINATION  (No. 1) 2016

I, BARRY WAYNE HAASE, Administrator of the Territory of Cocos (Keeling) Islands, make this Determination under section 4 of the Utilities and Services Ordinance 1996 (CKI).

1. Name of Determination

This Determination may be cited as the Cocos (Keeling) Islands Airport Facilities Determination (No. 1) 2016.

1. Commencement

This Determination commences on 1 March 2016.

1. Authority

This Determination is made under the Utilities and Services Ordinance 1996 (CKI).

1. Interpretation

In this Determination:

1. International air service  means

   a)   an aircraft arriving in the Territory of Cocos (Keeling) Islands from a place outside the Commonwealth of Australia; and

   b)   an aircraft departing from the Territory of Cocos (Keeling) Islands for a place outside the Commonwealth of Australia.

1. Airport charges

The charges for services provided at the Cocos (Keeling) Islands airport are set out in the Schedule to this Determination and are payable within 30 days of the date of invoice.

Payment is made by electronic funds transfer to the nominated bank account.

1. Revocation

Any previous Determination providing for fees and charges for the supply and use of airport facilities in the Territory of Cocos (Keeling) Islands is revoked.
